It felt a lot like summers long ago, where friends would gather as family to celebrate connections shared. A certain nostalgia warmed us with the sun and laughter filled the air. There was so much to be thankful for in the moments that filled this day, specifically for me, it was realizing that some bonds are made to last forever. 

Britta and Tomy

Watching someone fall in love has got to be one of the best things about being alive. 

I met Britta awhile back and witnessed her follow her heartstrings into the unknown; new city, new job, new home. It lead her right into what became so obvious, so known in Tomy. 

These two are absolutely wild to watch. The way his face lights up when he looks at her, the energy between them on the rock and roll dance floor, and the cohesiveness of their personalities...

Solid Gold. 

They recently made an engagement to each other and are now engaging life for a few months by traveling America in their van. 

It's a real life chopper love story. 

Heather & Tim

Heather and Tim had been envisioning the spot at the Abington Art Center where they wanted to share their first look.  The rain held off just long enough for this perfect moment in the woods.  It seemed as though that experience carried with them, as they moved through one heartfelt moment after another.  Emotional vows, dances, toasts, and group sing alongs filled the day.  It was all so wonderful.

The gentleness and support that I witness between these two is something most hearts aspire towards but within this shared heart space it just seems to come so natural. Catching her in a moment of laughter invoked by his amazing ability to tell a story is like bird song; It makes this planet a more loving place to be. 

Lord, you can see it's true....They love each other. 

 

Sarah & Rob

Sarah proposed to Rob on Leap Day and they immediately dreamed up a desert elopement.   She ordered her dress from Paris, gathered sentimental jewelry from family and friends, then they flew from London to LA and headed to the 29 Palms Inn.  It was such an honor to document their intimate wedding.  Their minister, Charlie, baked the most delicious blackberry/lemon cake for them, helped Sarah get ready, and created a beautiful and sacred space for the ceremony.  They stood on dried rose petals, inside a circle of juniper and creosote, and were blessed with sage after performing hand-fasting and candle lighting rituals.  Afterward, we headed to Joshua Tree National Park to watch the sunset and toast to their happiness.  Everything was so lovely and peaceful... a dreamy beginning for their life in blissful union.

Kelly and Jack had a beautiful day full of the sweetest emotion.  The moments that they took to see each other before the ceremony were so precious.  All day long they showed each other great love and kindness.  Kelly even arranged for Jack's band to play as a surprise.  We were so pleased to witness and document their celebration.  Wishing you both years full of joy and dancing xo
